Do you love the circus? If you have never been to a Cirque Du Soleil show then you are definitely missing out! Cirque Du Soleil is back and ready to amaze you. Colourful acrobatics with acts ranging from juggling, duo trapeze and artistic bicycles will leave you in a daze of how skilled these performers are. Cirque Du Soleil presents Saltimbanco and will be showing in Auckland for two weeks.
Saltimbanco is an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope. It is a dreamlike world where you can see crazy colourful characters, ranging from the ringmaster to the masked worms, perform acts that to most people seem almost impossible. It is inspired by the diversity of cultures and languages that is also apparent in their large cast. It features an international cast of 50 originating from 20 different countries. Just by the amount of diversity of the cast shows that there will be something to suit everyone’s tastes.
Cirque Du Soleil started of with 20 street performers in 1984. They have come a long way since the beginning and now have more than 5000 employees including more than 1300 artists from around 50 countries. They now bring the wonder to five continents and are currently presenting 21 shows around the world.
The breath-taking artistry and agility will inspire you. Saltimbanco is overflowing with colour and energy. The enchanting live music, humour and spectacular costumes will leave you feeling like you just watched the show of your life.
They are returning to New Zealand for the 4th time. Last time they were here in 2009 I went to one of the shows and it is spectacular. It will be like nothing you have ever seen before and the skills of these talented individuals will amaze you. The show will run for two weeks from August 25 to September 4 at the Vector Arena.
Saltimbanco is an artistic theatre circus performance that you will not want to miss. The bright colourful costumes combined with magical breath-taking performances. A fantastic show for the whole family to enjoy that they will remember for years to come.
We have a double pass to give away to the Saltimbanco show at Vector arena on Wednesday 31 August at 8pm. This is a fantastic prize and to win this all you have to do is answer the question: what are your favourite acts of Cirque Du Soleil?
Love sitting down to a freshly brewed cup of tea on a chilly winter’s day? Simply boil some water, pour over your favourite Dilmah tea bag and leave it to brew for as long as you desire. Tea is enjoyed by people all over the world. Not only does it taste great but it provides you with antioxidants to keep you fit and healthy. Dilmah Tea stands out with their fresh and delicious taste and also their dedication to communities and the environment.
In the 1950s Merril J Fernando wanted to offer tea drinkers the finest tea in the world and also remain ethical. In 1988 he launched Dilmah which is the first producer owned tea. Their tea is handpicked, unblended, ethical, packed at source and shipped within days to tea drinkers around the world. Today, Dilmah tea is the number one selling hot tea brand in New Zealand.
Each tea bag comes individually wrapped in foil. This ensures that the tea is the freshest possible and also feels like you are opening up a little packet of goodness every time you feel like a tea. The tea bag paper is manufactured in a chlorine free bleaching process. There are flavours to suit everyone’s taste buds including gourmet black tea, green tea, flavoured tea, herbal infusions, boutique single estate and seasonal tea. Each tea flavour has a lot of character and is very aromatic.
Tea also has a range of health benefits so instead of grabbing coffee opt for a delicious tea. Some of you may not know that tea originally began as a medicine and then grew into what it is known as today. Green and black teas have the most powerful antioxidants. Research has shown that two cups of tea is equivalent to five portions of fruit or vegetables in antioxidant capacity. So indulge in some tea and get your daily dose of antioxidants.
Dilmah Tea is a company that truly believe in helping others and giving back to the communities around the world. The Dilmah Founder Merril J Fernando realised that in order to truly succeed it takes the dedication of workers and the community and he wanted to share the success of his business with others. This pledge he made in the 1950s he still holds today. While many businesses can be unethical these days, Dilmah Tea continues to be ethical. They even have their own charity The MJF Charitable Foundation which helps over 10,000 underprivileged people every year. They also help promote sustainability around the world.
I am impressed not only by Dilmahs quality and attention to the tea, but also their dedication to humanitarian work and sustainability. We should all support Dilmah Tea for the good for our society. Indulge into a cup of freshly brewed Dilmah tea today and beat those winter blues.
Thanks to the dedicated team at Dilmah New Zealand, www.dilmah.co.nz, we have a gift pack to give away to a lucky fan. Tell us what your favourite Dilmah Tea is and what you think sets them apart from other teas
