After having my first car for seven years, I set out to find a good quality car. After searching for hours in car yards and the internet, I set my heart on a 2005 Suzuki Swift. In the last few years, this little five door hatchback has become one of the most popular cars on the road.

The eagerly awaited iPad3, or as Apple calls it “the new iPad” has finally arrived. A record 3 million were sold over the devices first weekend in stores. Many early adopters already had their minds made up a few weeks ago but there are still a lot of people on the fence about whether they should buy it or not.

Physical: A quick look at the new iPad when compared to iPad2 is that there aren’t any major physical differences. Nothing has changed in placement of the buttons on the rounded edge, and the speaker is still behind the lower left corner. The only physical difference is that it is slightly heaver and thicker than the iPad2.

Battery Life: The extra weight is most probably due to the bigger and very high capacity battery. This means that you’ll get a great battery life even though you’re looking at four times the pixels of the iPad2. The downside is that is does take longer to charge but overall the benefits outweigh this.

Retina Display: The 2048 x 1536 pixel retina display has four times the resolution of the previous model. The display is so dense that Apple has essentially packed in four pixels where there used to be one. When you compare it to iPad2 the text looks extra sharp, images are crisp and watching HD movies and TV shows is very enjoyable. It is definitely easier on the eyes. After using the new iPad you will realise how blurry text looked n the older models.

Other great features: The new iPad has a lot more memory. This iPad has 1024MB of RAM instead of 512MB on the iPad 2 (or 256MB on the iPad 1). There is also an updated A5X processor. The front camera hasn’t changed but the back camera (which was awful on the iPad 2) is now a 5 mexapixel shooter and has greatly improved.

Does it run warm? Many frustrated iPad users have been leaving complaints that their new tablets are overheating and becoming too hot to touch, particularly when playing high quality 3D games. To be precise the heat is coming from the lower left hand corner of the tablet. Although when I tested the tablet it is was hot, but not hot enough to be uncomfortable.

The ‘new iPad’ is the next generation of tablet. It is faster and more powerful. While they have not taken on a new skin, they have built upon the previous versions to deliver a new visual experience that is currently unmatched in the market today.

Literature has followed the digital revolution and books can now be downloaded through e-readers. The Kobo eReader Touch Edition is the companies third generation e-reader.

Once you start the eReader, the homepage shows the covers of up to give books, newspapers, documents or magazines that you are in the middle of reading or it will show new content added to the eReader. There are three icons for accessing the user guide, changing the setting and syncing to the Kobo library cloud.

It is well built and finished with a quilted back look. It weighs 185g, has a six inch screen and a 600×800 resolution. It is aesthetically pleasing, light and comfortable to hold. Buttons are at a minimum with a top power slider and a single home button. It can store about 1000 books but it also has a SD card slot that can handle up to another 32GB. It will easily fit into a jacket pocket or bag.

It’s the easiest e-reader that I have used. It is super intuitive and anyone could pick it up and use it without instructions. You simply tap the screen to open a book, turn a page or select a menu or option. When it comes to reading books, the screen has great contrast and the letters are crisp and well formed. You can change the size and font of the text to your preference.

Reading books on the eReader Touch is one of the best eBook experiences i’ve had. It is the best basic eReader available currently.
