King of Shaves

King of Shaves

Are you sick and tired of buying cheap razors that break after the first use? Or expensive razors that don’t give you smooth skin? King of Shaves is a relatively new shaving brand in New Zealand and they are reasonably priced, don’t break and will leave you with perfect skin. They believe that the correct shaving gel, razor and technique will give you a smooth, nick-free shave. It has been developed over the last 15 years to give you “the worlds best shave”. Finally the answer to rash-free skin is here.

King of Shaves Azor Razor: These razors are a new revolution in shaving and look different to what else is out on the market. It has a simple smooth design and is light. It provides a very close shave and the blades stay sharp for ages. The range of motion is perfect for gliding over your face without worrying about getting cut. It delivers an effective, simple and close shave to leave your skin in top condition.

The King Of Shaves amazing face washs and scrubs compliments the Azor razor. It will remove all the dead skin leaving your face cleansed and ready to be shaved. The low foam gels, oils and serums means that you can see what you are shaving and ensure that your skin is left rash free. The King of Shaves moisturiser is fragrance free so that it will leave you with irritation-free skin to take you right through the day and into the night.

Their recommendation is that you shave in the shower or bath. It takes about 3.5 minutes for stubble to ‘wet out’ to make it easier to shave. Also make sure that you shave in the direction of your hairs growth. If you shave against the direction of the hair growth then you will get razor burn, redness and rashes which is not an attractive look. If you follow all of these tips and invest in the King of Shaves Azor razor then you will wonder why you hadn’t used it sooner.

Queen of Shaves: King of shaves has just released an amazing new look women’s range, Queen Of. These razors will leave your pins looking and feeling runway ready. It has the King of Shaves award winning “Bendology Technology” for a closer, more comfortable shave. There is a soft rubber ‘bumper’ to help reduce the risk of those unwanted nicks. They are ideal for everyday smoothness or when you want your legs as smooth as possible for that special occasion. Either way your legs will love you! There are two delicious smelling shaving gels to ensure you have the perfect legs. They are both nourishing and paraben and perfume free.

If you want the perfect shave then King of Shaves is the brand to try. It is the best value for money out on the market today. If you want the best skin and shave of your life then shave with an Azor! Check out their online store for all your shaving needs http://www.shave.co.nz/Default.aspx

Adele - 21

Adele - 21

Have you ever gone through a breakup? Ever had you heart broken? Then you will be able to relate to Adeles album, 21. After the success of her first album, 19, the 2009 Best New Artist Grammy Award winner has released her follow up album. After a broken relationship, Adele sings from her heart with powerful and heart-wrenching vocals. From the exhilaration at the start of a relationship to the devastation at the end, the album shows the raw reality of heartbreak.

At 19, Adele released her first album with a soulful voice well beyond her age. It shined with innocence about love and life which was intriguing and honest. A few years later, she released another title, 21. With the majority of the songs about the hurt and pain from love, it is an album that listeners can easily relate to. She has power and personality in her voice that sets her apart from other singers. Not only a talented singer, but she also co-wrote each original song on the album.

21’s first single, “Rolling in the Deep” speaks of fire and fury. The clapping from the backup singers adds a nice mix to her voice to create a popular melody. It is full of soul and heart and shifts between love and hate. “Don’t You Remember” is a sad, classically styled ballad, that shows that no matter how angry you are there will always be an element of sadness. It’s about her looking back and trying to remember all the reasons she was actually in love with that person. She is able to show every emotion that she is feeling with this song.

“Set Fire to the Rain” is a personal favourite of mine. It is catchy, with a decent beat. Vocally and lyrically, it is her strongest and most open song. “Someone Like you” is the closing song. It is an astonishingly sad ballad about her coming to terms with the final situation.

21 is simply stunning. The album gives a real sense of who Adele is and the painful journey that she has experienced. She is vulnerable, angry and honest, but won’t take the pain lying down. The album is full of raw and beautiful melodies that highlight her vocal ability. A truly thought-provoking album that will leave you feeling like you can relate to her experiences.

Rugby Boot Buying Guide

Rugby Boot Buying Guide

Rugby is the most popular sport in New Zealand and often when a child is asked what they want to be when they grow up they will reply “an All Black”. If you are an All Black in the making or are serious about your rugby, then this is the buying guide for you. With a huge variety of rugby boots out there, it is often a very tedious task trying to choose which boot and brand is best. With the advances in sportswear and sports science, the modern ranges of rugby boots are equipped to deal with the physical pressures of rugby to ensure that you will be at your peak performance.

Studs: The studs are a significant consideration when choosing boots. Some rugby boots are made with studs specifically for grass and some are made with studs that are screwed in so that they can be adjusted depending on the conditions. Short studs are perfect for hard fields and longer studs should be used for muddy and grassy fields. If the wrong type of studs are worn it can be dangerous to the other players and you will also not be able to play to your full potential.

Foot Style: When you are out looking for boots you should find out your running style and if you are flat-footed or have a high arch. Rugby boots are now lighter than ever to ensure that rugby players can move around the park at their fastest pace. When trying on boots you should look for one that is flexible and feels like it is moulded to your foot to ensure that your foot can bend correctly.

Material: Rugby boots are constructed with a variety of fabrics. A typical rugby match contains a lot of kicking and running and the boot material needs to be able to handle these strains. Leather boots are great for dry conditions but may not be ideal for wet conditions as they will stretch when they are wet. Synthetic rugby boots perform well in both conditions. The expense of the boot is usually dependent on the material used.

Cuts: The postion that you play is important when choosing the cut of the boot. Forwards rely on their lower body strength for scrums. Therefore high ankle cut boots are best as they provide additional support around the ankle. High cut boots should also be brought if you are prone to ankle injuries. Backs will often suit low cut boots for mobility and kickers usually suit snug fitting boots.

Keeping your boots clean: It is important that your boots are maintained properly by cleaning them after each game and making sure that you let them dry out. After a wet muddy game cleaning your boots is often the last thing on your mind but that extra effort will ensure that your boots last longer. Try to leave them to dry in fresh air rather than artificial air. Artificial air can cause the boots to crack.

With the Rugby World Cup in full swing, there will be many future All Blacks out there trying to find the perfect pair of boots. Look for quality boots that will suit your playing style and provide you with the adequate amount of stability and support. The most important thing is to ensure that your boots are comfy so that you are playing to your best ability and help steer your team to victory.

30 Minute Meals

30 Minute Meals

Are you sick and tired of trying to think what to cook every night and then taking hours to make it? Well Jamie Oliver has the answer. His new 30 Minute Meals cookbook will have you serving up wholesome meals in no time.

The foreword convinces you that you can cook like Jamie. Being too busy is not a valid excuse when you have got this book. Everyone can cook a meal in 30 minutes. He will show you how to cook in a different way. You won’t just be wandering around; you will be multitasking for the entire 30 minutes. He also encourages you to organise your kitchen so that you aren’t spending your time trying to find where everything is.

The layout of the book is revoluntionary to the usual cookery book. There are meal plans and each contains a main dish, a few sides and sometimes a delicious dessert. Think easy meals from Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca to the more extravagent Thai Red Prawn Curry. There are 50 meals to choose from so you will constantly be able to surprise your guests. The menu instruction takes you though each step so even if you are new to cooking you will be able to make the meal step by step. It’s all about being organised, creating shortcuts and working fast to prepare the meals.

The photographs are simple and show tables of delicious food enjoyed by family and friends. It is great for those nights when you don’t know what to cook and need some inspiration. It is proper, wholesome, good food that will keep your family healthy and full. While it may say that these meals can be made in less than 30 minutes, many of them took much longer than 30 minutes. His book has been criticized because of this. Maybe if you made the meals over and over then you may get it down to 30 minutes. However you can’t find fault in the recipes in terms of taste, the recipes are scrumptious.

30 Minute meals is beautifully presented with scrumptious food and it can all in 30 minutes. I thoroughly recommend this book to every family. It takes a new approach and it will appeal to people that like to make complete meals but it is sometimes hard to follow if you are just choosing one dish. 30 Minute meals is great for creating interesting meals quickly and to impress your guests.

Buying Guide: Pocket Camcorder

Buying Guide: Pocket Camcorder

Do you often have those moments where you think; damn I wish I had caught that on camera? Well now you can capture all of those memories on your very own pocket camcorder. Driven by the popularity of YouTube, the pocket camcorder came around to offer a simple way to record and share the funny things you saw. Stick one in your bag, shoot when you get some inspiration, plug the camcorder into your computer and upload it to your favourite social networking site. They are convenient, affordable and often referred to as ‘shoot and share’ cameras.

They are easy to shoot videos; all you have to do is grab it out of your pocket and point and shoot. They are fantastic for those cute moments when your kids do something silly and you wish you had something in your pocket to record them. They are the size of your average phone, convenient and easy to operate. Starting from as little as $80, they are great for students, parents and other people wanting to catch those crazy moments. They are a lot of fun.

The external controls are very simple and dominated by a large red ‘record’ button. Many of the camcorders feature a built-in USB cable for connecting the camcorder directly to a computer. This makes it more portable and also means that you don’t have to worrying about trying to find the cable to connect to the computer. They store their data on flash memory chips or removable memory cards.

The resolution is often about 720p but some are capable of 1080p. One thing that you may not know about that you should look out for when buying a camcorder is a birate. This is the amount of data used to record each second of a video. The higher the birate the more detailed your videos will look. You need a higher birate to give a 1080p video the same quality as a 720p video. The negative of retaining lots of detail is that the files are larger which means that it will increase upload times.

While they are great little devices to record events, there are some negatives. They lack the features of full sized camcorders and the lenses aren’t of the highest quality. The memory is limited due to the small nature of the device and they lack optical zoom lens which decreases their ability to magnify far away objects. Most do not have image stabilisation meaning that it could be shaky unless you have a tripod.

While these pocket camcorders are unlikely to replace your favourite camera, they are perfect for those situations when you quickly want to capture a moment. They are particularly marketed to younger buyers who love to upload videos to their favourite social networking site. Get ready to shoot and record those precious memories and share with all of your friends!
